The Most Stunning Running path in Lisbon

Last week I attended one of the biggest Tech Conference in the World, Web Summit 2018 at Lisbon, Portugal. The event featured 4 huge pavilions packed with startups and companies showcasing their newest technologies, and a concert-hall centre stage. It was a lot of walking.

Nevertheless, we runners never feared the number of steps we take walking each day and still seek a perfect spot for that refreshing morning run.

I stayed near Altice Arena, where they hosted Web Summit and found a strange path leading into the sea while fumbling on Google Maps.

So the first morning, I decided to take a look at that path. It started with a concrete path along the coast, which is already amazing enough. But then I ran further and came upon this wooden walkway.

The wooden path is not sturdy and everytime you run, it’ll be quite loud.

I mean, how cool is that?

But as soon as the wooden walkway ended, something more incredible awaits.

Don’t you just love the view?

Yes, this is the path that led out into the sea. I went there during Sunrise (7:30AM in November) and the path looks AMAZING. Check them out yourselves!

Panoramic view of the sea that stretches beyond your eyesight.
The cable cars up top make this a tad more magical.

There were a few runners around just so that you feel safe. And here’s the map of my running path. It was a slow run since I can’t resist stopping every now and then to take a photo of this stunning magical scene.

A must-try for your first, second, third, or as many visits to Lisbon as you wish. You’ll never get bored of the view.
